Linda Julian

Linda leads the team at Julian Midwinter & Associates.  She offers strategic practice development counsel to lawyers and other professionals throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

With the support of her team, Linda has conducted many large-scale research projects including attitudinal studies with major consumers of legal and other expert services. She regularly surveys legal services usage and benchmarks best practice in insurance, financial services, corporate, and public sectors.

Her book, The passionate professional - creating value, success, prosperity (published 2007) has now sold in 19 countries and is a collection of easy-to-digest wisdom and practical advice for professionals who want to do better in the crucial area of business development.

Linda is also a popular keynote speaker at local and international legal and professional services conferences. She also contributes to the professional services community through lectures on marketing, strategic management, and professional practice development at post-graduate level and is a faculty member of the practice management and partner accreditation course for Australia's College of Law.

Among her many achievements, she conceived and strategised the first-ever public listing of a legal practice in the common law world.

Linda has five years experience as a non-executive director of an ASX-listed company, audit committee chair.  She is honoured to serve on the board of EpilepsyAction, an award-winning national disability services organisation.

Her undergraduate education in behavioural sciences and law plus a masters from Macquarie Graduate School of Management underpin her professional practice. She is currently researching her doctoral thesis.
