Who we are

Vicky Doneska

Senior Business Development & Bid Consultant

For the last decade Vicky has specialised in professional services business development and marketing, helping firms to attract and then grow new clients into profitable business.

Drawing on her background of more than 17 years in some of the largest, top tier law firms in Sydney, London and Hong Kong, she offers clients an in-depth understanding of complex services businesses.

Vicky has a wealth of experience, and proven success, in bid management, awards submissions, and event management. She also has an extensive background in content creation (including outside the professional services industry), thought leadership campaigns, and in developing and implementing business development and marketing strategies.

Vicky’s approach is not a “one size fits all”; she takes the time to understand the key drivers of a client’s business, and offers bespoke advice to address JMA’s clients’ specific business development needs.

A highly effective communicator, experienced across different media she, has an innate understanding of the need to tailor communications for the intended audience, and avoid unnecessary use of technical jargon.

Passionate about implementing best practice approaches to bring about desired outcomes, Vicky is an ideas generator and is confident in selling those ideas with stakeholders at all levels of a business, including to C-suite executives.

She is highly skilled at running multiple projects concurrently and delivering to deadline, with an efficient and organised approach to project management, without compromising on the quality of output. This includes project managing multiple large-scale tender processes, where Vicky is comfortable taking a lead role in teams comprised of partners as well as fee earners and clients’ in-house specialists.

Beyond formal bids and tenders, Vicky’s broader business development and marketing background means she adds value to JMA clients through:

  • marketing and BD planning and execution
  • compelling informal proposals, credentials and capability statements
  • winning industry award and high ranking directory submissions
  • preparing and updating professional profiles and credentials
  • reviewing, overhauling and creating web content, including blog posts and thought leadership pieces
  • creating and implementing lead generating and awareness raising digital campaigns
  • managing firms’ online presence including company and individual LinkedIn pages.

Prior to becoming a business development specialist, Vicky was a litigation lawyer, qualified in both England & Wales and NSW, and having practised for close to eight years.
